Suspended Loft

Project Description

Our interior intervention for a suspended loft in Beirut is an interpretation of the daily routine of an urban dweller. The existing condition, a circular and raw concrete space, becomes the backdrop for intervention. The project accepts the rawness of spaces and celebrates its materiality. We turned to the reduction of elements, focusing on scale, color and tactility, playfully co-existing in harmony. Through transparency and openness, one is constantly connected to the peripheral outdoor space conceived as a vegetated promenade of native specimens and culinary herbs. The rotative walk continues vertically through a carefully crafted spiral staircase, drawn to reveal the generosity of space. Above, a suspended deck terminates the spatial experience, where a half moon pool of clear waters, inspired by the infinite night skies, disseminates and reflects raw textures and layered vegetation.
